Texas dust storm

An extremely windy front rolled across Texas today, bringing with it some of the Far West Texas desert. The Austin area clouded up with dust this afternoon, making the sky look funky and blurring out skylines. I went out after work to breathe in the dust and take some pics from Round Rock.

I’m not sure when the height of the dust storm was, but this was taken at 5:19 pm

Many nervous Central Texans thought something was on fire

Straight overhead, the sky looked pretty clear, 6:27 pm

I tried to take a timelapse, even weighted it down, but the wind blew it over anyways. So here’s a choppy timelapse, with time missing in the middle. :D
